Well, the nights alas are now getting darker earlier but this doesn’t stop us from bringing good news to you all such as yet another new signing in the form of the very lovely Gareth Winstone.

Gareth, has been a professional drummer for over 22 years, initially being self-taught by playing along to records and the radio to then progressing through to studying a ‘Diploma in Percussion’ at the Musicians Institute in London.

His career has seen him as the ‘on-stage’ drummer with “Riverdance - The Show” for 5 years where he toured the UK, Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand performing in large theatres and arenas alongside various TV performances, radio sessions and studio recording as both a session drummer and band member.

Not only has Gareth been busy with his own schedule, his passion for teaching also saw him start the ‘BOOMBANGABANG DRUMS’ lesson service; serving the East Yorkshire area, some 11 years ago - which has gone from strength to strength offering lessons from both the Rockschool and Trinity College programmes.

Having met Gareth at the recent UK DRUM SHOW we quickly realised that we just had to have him on board in our Amedia Family which was an inviataion he was more than welcome to oblige us with.

Gareth says on hearing our cymbals and joining our Amedia Family “I have always taken pride in the equipment I choose and of course use, ever since my early ‘engagements’ and having set up the drum school all those years ago it is been of vital importance that I am conscious of the image and influence I radiate to my students too. I fell in love with the cymbal sounds offered by Amedia and how they deal with everyone is an ethos that I migrated to straight away!”

It’s always a pleasure and very humbling when we’re given opportunities that allow our Amedia Family to grow and we give our deepest thanks and of course our very best wishes to Gareth for letting us into his drumming life on this very opportunity.

Starting in February 2019 we shall be running 10 drum circles, with support from The Alzheimer's Society, for people living with dementia and their carers. This  is a free event.  To book a place please call 07731614349 or Email boombangabangdrums@hotmail.com
